CrossWord has a history that traces back to First Southern Baptist Church of Henderson, Nevada.  First Southern was formed in 1951 and has started over 11 churches in the Las Vegas valley.

In 2004, the name was changed to CrossWord.  We started construction on our new church home in December, 2006.  We held our first service in September, 2008.  The journey has been hard and long, but the result is God's blessing in our new home located at 1305 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson, Nevada.

The vision of the church is to become what First Southern was in the past.  A sending and starting Church.  Upon completion of the buildout of our present property, we hope to start other churches in the Southern Nevada area.

We believe in the Southern Baptist Faith and doctrines.  We would be happy to send you a pamphlet describing in details our beliefs.

Senior Pastor-  Francis Howard.  Pastor Howard graduated from Golden Gate Baptist Seminary in May, 2004.  The Pastor is a bi-vocational pastor.  His day job to support his ministry is a CPA. He is married to his wife of 33 years, Beverly; they have two sons, with 9 grandchildren that he is extremely proud of and completely spoils.  Many say his hobbies are work and Jesus.

Associate Pastor-  Beverly Howard.  Beverly has done degree work at Golden Gate Baptist Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary.  Beverly is the worship leader and the educational minister.  Beverly taught in the Clark County School District for 8 years, and has completed a Masters degree in Education.  Her passions are  quilting, her grandchildren and her 3 dogs (Archie, Mimi, and Joey).
